Swim England South West Region is inviting applications for the roles of Regional Chair and Vice Chair to help lead the Region into an exciting future.

We are looking for passionate, forward-thinking individuals who are committed to the development and success of sports across the South West. If you have leadership experience, a collaborative mindset, and a desire to make a real difference, we’d love to hear from you.

🏆 About the Roles

Regional Chair

• Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Region.

• Chair meetings of the Regional Management Board.

• Ensure strong governance and effective decision-making.

• Represent the Region at a national level.

Vice Chair

• Support and deputise for the Chair as needed.

• Contribute to strategic planning and policy development.

• Work closely with clubs, committees, and key stakeholders.

• Promote inclusivity and support across all aquatic disciplines.

👥 Who Should Apply?

We’re seeking individuals who:

• Have experience in governance, leadership, or management (within or outside sport).

• Understand the challenges and opportunities within sport.

• Can communicate effectively and work collaboratively with diverse groups.

• Share Swim England’s values of integrity, respect, inclusion, and excellence.

🕒 Commitment

• These are voluntary roles.

• Appointments are typically for a 4-year term.

• Includes attendance at quarterly board meetings (in person or virtual) and support for regional activities.
