Invitations Sent for the Regional Development Programme 2026–2027

Invitations have now been sent to swimmers selected for the Swim England South West Regional Development Programme (RDP) 2026–2027.

The Regional Development Programme is the second stage of the Swim England Talent Pathway and provides talented 13-year-old swimmers with opportunities to develop their technical, physical and personal skills through high-quality coaching and education delivered by the South West Regional coaching team.

Swimmers have been selected in line with the published Swim England Regional Development Programme Selection Policy, using the Long Course 200m Individual Medley rankings and the associated selection process.

This year's programme will take place at Taunton School and includes two compulsory camps:

• Saturday 13th September 2026 (approximately 8:45am–4:45pm)
• Monday 5th – Wednesday 7th April 2027 – our brand new 2½-day residential camp

The introduction of the residential camp is an exciting addition to the programme, giving athletes an immersive development experience with pool training, land training, athlete education sessions and team-building activities, all delivered by our Regional coaching and support team.

Selected swimmers are asked to confirm their place by Thursday 13th August 2026 by completing their booking through OrderWhizz. A non-refundable £75 deposit is required to secure their place, with the final balance of £275 payable by Friday 30th October 2026 using the same booking link.
