Regional Para Swimming Training Sessions Announced

Swim England South West is pleased to announce the next series of Regional Para Swimming Training Sessions, providing para swimmers from across the region with the opportunity to develop their skills in a supportive, athlete-centred environment.

The programme is open to para swimmers looking to enhance their technique, gain valuable coaching experience and continue their development alongside swimmers from across the South West.

These sessions are suitable for para swimmers who are currently competing or looking to progress within para swimming. They provide an excellent opportunity to receive expert coaching, develop race skills and build confidence in a positive training environment.

Coach Observation Opportunity

Swim England South West is also inviting coaches from across the region to attend these sessions as observers.

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from the experienced coaching team, observe para swimming coaching in practice, ask questions and develop your knowledge to support para swimmers within your own club.

• For the October 2026 session at the University of Bath, coaches wishing to observe should email Stacey Millett at stacey.millett@swimming.org to register their interest.
• For the April and July 2027 sessions, coaches can book an observation place using the same booking links as the training sessions.

We encourage coaches of all experience levels to take advantage of this valuable learning opportunity.

Swimmers interested in competition or classification are encouraged to explore the SE South West & South East Joint Para Development Meet, which offers a welcoming competition environment and classification opportunities for eligible athletes.
