Safer Recruitment
Safer Recruitment sits at the bedrock of safeguarding in all clubs, it helps ensure that everyone appointed to both paid and Volunteer roles working with children and vulnerable people is suitable, appropriately vetted and supported from day one.
Clubs must follow the safer recruitment guidance set out in Swim England’s safeguarding policy Wavepower, see the Safer Recruitment section page 66, which also links to guidance on DBS, training and ongoing checks. You can view and download Wavepower here: https://www.swimming.org/swimengland/wavepower-child-safeguarding-for-clubs/
To support you, SESW has produced a Safer Recruitment Pack including
