Member Elected Director – Swim England

Swim England is seeking applications for the role of Member Elected Director on its Board. This voluntary governance position plays a key part in shaping the organisation’s strategic direction and ensuring it operates with integrity, inclusivity, and effectiveness.

Directors provide independent oversight, contribute to policy and strategic decision-making, and support strong governance and financial sustainability. The role involves approximately 1–2 days per month, including six Board meetings per year (three in person in Loughborough and three online). Travel and accommodation expenses are reimbursed.

Candidates should bring sound judgement, governance experience, and a commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion, along with a strong interest in aquatic sports.

Each Regional chair can nominate an individual for this role. If you wish to be considered please provide a CV, and a short statement (max 300 words) outlining how you meet the role requirements and can contribute to the Board’s strategic leadership and understanding of the aquatic community.

Please provide your CV and statement by Sunday 9th November, following which all applications will be considered by the Regional Nominations Committee.

There will be a Members Forum vote between 24 November and 12 December 

The position is for a 4 year term starting on 1 January 2026.
