It is intended to be a basic and informative workshop to give participants the confidence and knowledge to effectively manage a team at a local level. • The course is designed to achieve the following four outcomes: • To raise awareness of the key areas to consider in being a safe and effective Team Manager at local competitions • To identify likely problems and challenges • To understand the need for risk assessments • To be aware of where further help, guidance and support is available

The 17th Royal Navy Open Masters Meet will take place at Millfield School, Somerset on Sunday 4th March 2018. The event will be swum short course in the 8 lane 25m competition pool with full electronic timing. A second 25m will be available for use as a continuous warm-up/warm-down facility throughout the competition. Free parking will be available at the venue.

Swim England are excited to let you know that our annual Sports Science and Medicine Conference is back at the Link Hotel Loughborough on Sunday 11 March. This is your chance to learn, first hand, about female athletes and how they mature, adapt to stress and require different training methods to their male counterparts. The conference is open to all Sports Science and Medicine staff working within English Clubs.

This training is designed for Team Managers who have attended the Swim England Team Manager Module 1 training and have gained experience in Team Managing at a local level. This workshop builds upon these experiences and aims to equip a Team Manager to manage a team staying overnight or travelling abroad effectively. The workshop is designed to achieve the following five objectives: 1. To build on learning from Module 1 and share experiences 2. To raise awareness of key areas in being a safe and effective Team Manager when staying away from home and travelling abroad 3. To identify likely problems and challenges associated with overnight stays and travelling abroad 4. To understand the value of risk assessments 5. To be aware of where further help, guidance and support is available

1. Age Groups: 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 & Over. 2. Awards: All events will be HDW and awards will be made to the Top 6 in each Age Group plus Cash prizes for the Skins events. 3. Additionally, there will be Male & Female Skins Events –14 years and under and 15 Years & Over (The 8 fastest 100 IM swimmers in each of the qualifying age groups plus 2 reserves will be invited to compete in the Skins Finals). Times achieved from the skins events will not be sent to rankings 4. Closing date for entries is Monday March 12th 2018.
